Section One: Astronaut Experiences Journey with James Lovell through "A Journey with Jim Lovell"
The winner of this lot and three of his/her friends will meet Apollo 13 commander Jim Lovell at the Adler Planetarium to tour the Chicago museum's new gallery, A Journey with Jim Lovell.
Journey shares the story of Lovell's life and career using artifacts from his personal collection. His restored Gemini 12 spacecraft serves as a multimedia show centerpiece. Among nearly 30 artifacts on display are Lovell's rejection letter from the Mercury Program and the training notes he wrote during Gemini.
The Adler Planetarium and Astronomy Museum is located in Chicago, Illinois.
Accommodations and transportation to and from this experience is not included. ASF reserves the right to disqualify the high bidder, to reject the high bid, and to accept a bid from a lower bidder, for any reason within their discretion, which shall be exercised in good faith.
