Joseph Walker
X-15 pilot

Mission(s): X-15   Date signed: May 15, 1964
Comment: Walker achieved the X-15's fastest speed and
highest altitude. He was fatally injured on June 8,
1966, in a mid-air collision between the F-104
he was piloting and the XB-70 he was chasing.
