'For All Mankind' at SDCC: Cast members and the creators of the Apple TV+ alt-space history series "For All Mankind" will be at this years's San Diego Comic Con to discuss the show's third season. Attendees will also be able to pick up Icon Heroes' Season 3 mission patches as an SDCC exclusive. The embroidered emblems include the insignia for the three crews racing to be the first on Mars.

Webb's First Deep Field: The first full-color image to be released from the James Webb Space Telescope captured the deepest view of the universe ever seen. The image, called "Webb's First Deep Field," shows a galaxy cluster as it appeared 4.6 billion years ago, with even more distant galaxies being magnified from behind it. "It's hard to fathom," said President Joe Biden on Monday (July 11).

NASA Night: The Houston Astros will host astronauts and offer a limited edition moon lander bobblehead as part of NASA Night on Saturday (July 16). Coinciding with the 53rd anniversary of the launch of Apollo 11, the team's celebration will include the return of a baseball that was flown on the International Space Station and a chance to send a postcard into space and later receive it back.

The limited edition timepiece is a tribute to the pressure suits worn by NASA astronauts during launch and entry. McDonald's moonman: A newly-installed Apollo astronaut statue restores a Houston-area landmark that for more than 25 years welcomed visitors to NASA... with a side of fries. The McDonald's in Nassau Bay, which replaced the former location serving the Johnson Space Center community, erected a new version of the astronaut created by the same fiberglass artist as the 1995 original.

Space race renewed: The alternate space history series "For All Mankind" has been renewed for a fourth season on Apple TV+. The news was announced Friday (July 22) at San Diego Comic Con during a panel with the show's cast and crew. Production on the new season is set to begin in August just as the third season concludes.

Record-setting space sale: Sotheby's on Tuesday (July 26) set new records for the most valuable space exploration sale ever held and the most-ever paid at auction for a space-flown artifact. In total, the New York gallery's "Buzz Aldrin: American Icon" sale brought it $8.2 million, including the $2.8 million commanded by the Apollo 11 inflight coverall jacket that Aldrin wore on the mission.
